Exporting pdf from Apple Notes truncates the files

I use the Notes app on my iPhone as a scanner.

Because i have iCloud, i can see the files on the Notes app on my MacBook. I have tried to export some notes as pdfs to conserve cloud space. What you see here is how the files look when they get saved to the MacBook. Why is this happening, why so narrow? Sometimes the files are several pages long, but I can only see half a page.
