Extended Features not enabling highlight and comment tools on Adobe Reader

Hi,

I am a newbie with this application, really in IT world. I created an XML form using AEM Forms Designer 6.5 with these setting. When the file was reader extended none of the tools are enabled. I would like to have the highlighting and commenting tools accessible.

What app does it not work with?

If users are using Acrobat Reader DC, Adobe Reader XI (11) or Adobe Reader X (10) you don't need to save as "Reader Extended".

Hi! I have worked with livecycle designer and acrobat pro since acrobat X. Reader extending is gone apparently unless one subscribes to Acrobat DC for $14.99/mo. Reader extended forms were created between LC and Reader via Acrobat. I don't know that xml files can be password protected. AEM now is only for corporate licensing. Do you know how to make a password protected HTML app to replace Adobe Acrobat now?
