Question

extra line in PDF when printed

pretty sure this is a bug but I still haven't figured out how to submit a bug report to adobe so I'm posting here.

Have a PDF that when printed from Adobe Reader or Acrobat, adds an extra line.

FACTS:

1.  When the PDF is printed "as image" from Adobe products it works fine.

2.  When the PDF is printed by other PDF readers (cutepdf, etc.) it works fine

3.  The defect occurs regardless of the make/model of printer (I've tried large/small format, minolta, HP, etc.)

This SOUNDS like a bug.

How can I report this BUG to adobe directly?

It may or may not be a bug. We'd need to see the PDF file in question and examine its contents in detail to determine whether in fact there is some graphical object in the file that is too fine to see on screen or to print with the low quality “print as image” output, but actually correctly printing on a higher resolution device.

You can report what you believe to be a bug directly via this link:
Acrobat for Windows and Mac: Top (1725 ideas) – Share your feedback on Acrobat DC

Be prepared to provide the file causing the problem such that investigation may be performed.

In addition to that, if you wish to share the file here, place it on a file sharing service (such as Acrobat's own Send-&-Track such that the volunteers here can try to find the issue.
