Question

Extract acronyms from a PDF into a list.

I often deal with documents in PDF that have (lots of) acronyms, and just like I use Action Wizard to highlight key words, or extract bookmarks, I'd like a 'wizard' to pull out acronyms from the document.  This is just an example, but things like IEEE or INCOSE or DOT or USAA or DMV.  The script would scan the PDF and make a file of acronyms, similar to how the 'Extract Bookmarks' action wizard functions.

ASIDE: Why Acrobat doesn't have wildcards in the search string is BEYOND me.  Come on Adobe, it's 2024, not 1990!

This is possible using a custom-made script. If you're interested in hiring a professional to create it for you, feel free to contact me privately by clicking my user-name and then on "Send a Message".
