Extract specific pages from a batch of pdf documents

  1. Imagine a batch folder that contains 50 pdf documents that all vary in page length.
  2. I need to extract either the first page or in some instances first and last page of each document in the batch folder.
  3. I was hoping to create a script where I key the file names in order and for each file I state whether I want extract page one only, or page one and last page of document.
  4. Click submit and script would extract request and place in either a new folder or print queue in order keyed so that I can print hardcopy.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

This is possible with a script. The problem is that you can't control the order in which files are processed in an Action, unless you add them one by one in the desired order.

    Hi Pbodonyi,

Thanks for reaching out. As described above, you want to extract specific pages from a batch of pdf documents, correct?

Please try the Action wizard tool provided in Adobe Acrobat DC and see if that helps. For detailed information, please use the steps provided in the help article - https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/action-wizard-acrobat-pro.html#create_and_manage_custom_commands

Let us know how it goes
