Extracting Images from PDF

Question

Ok, so this used to be no problem but somehow cannot extract images from PDF without launching MICROSOFT WORD. When I go into preferences, amazingly enough, my only options to choose from are Chrome or MS products. Once again Adobe managed to make something that was once simple overly complicated and worse.

Why am I not seeing any Adobe products to choose as my image editor? Also: why can't I just extract the images into a folder like i have for like, idk, 20 years??????

The PDF is only images - no text.

Click on Menu then on Disable New Acrobat. Then go to Tools and search for "Export". Select Image and the desired format, and tick the "Export All Images". Click Export, and you're done.
