F-Form created in Pro XI Can't edit in Pro XI nor Pro DC. Says I need Designer Live Cycle!

I created a fillable form in Acrobat Pro XI.  I tried to edit the form and received a message saying i needed to update to Acrobat Pro DC.  I upgraded.  Tried to edit the form again.  Now says I must use "Designer Live Cycle".

Can't find a Macintosh version of Designer Live Cycle.  When I try to purchase, it only brings up Windows version

What's the real answer?

I feel scammed by Adobe.

The form must have been created in LiveCycle Designer. You will not get this for forms created in Acrobat XI. However, Acrobat 9 and Acrobat X did include a copy of LiveCycle Designer which would be used automatically to make forms. Yes, Window only.
