Fail to open PDF file

I am not able to open PDF file using acrobat PDF, and and error display "A running instance of Acrobat has caused an error" is shown. Not sure why. Can anyone help? Thanks.

@cmhmarco I sometimes I get that when I try and save a PDF to quickly while the file is already opened. So, you can either rename the file or, it could also be corrupted Acrobat. I would do a clean install of Acrobat from Adobe website
