Fatal error: Acrobat failed to load its core dll

I am running Windows 10 Home 64bit. I tried to open Acrobat but always encounter the same technical issue. I just installed the newest update package, but to no avail.

I also tried these solutions: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-failed-load-core-dll.html

They did not work, either.

I am thinking that it may be caused by errors in the registry; but I am not sure how to repair the issue.

Does any one know how to fix it?

Hi Wilhelm,

sorry to hear about the trouble caused and thanks for trying at your level.

Changing the Acrobat's security preferences helps fix this issue. Since you have mentioned about already trying the solutions given in the help article here: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-failed-load-core-dll.html so we'd like you to try a few more further steps, like:

1- Uninstalling the application might not be sufficient at times, so use this cleaner tool for the removal of the app and its files traces. https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html

Once done, download the Acrobat from this link: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html

2- If it still doesn't work, then create a HIdden Admin account on your Windows 10 and launch the application in that. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-to-enable-the-hidden-administrator-in-windows/0a8e3cf5-4f62-4f2a-b49f-4c9cbbc6d154

Thanks,

Akanchha

Hi, AkanchhaS,

Thank you for the suggestions.

No avail. I believe that it is caused by errors in the registry of my OS.
