Feature Suggestion: Enable simultaneous editing and scanning

Question

I've been scanning in a lot of old articles. And while I;m scanning in a stack of sheets, I occasionally need to examine a different PDF. Problem is, I can't really examine this other PDF while the scanning is happening.

It'd be great if Adobe enabled a separate scanning capability that wouldn't interfere with other uses of Acrobat, i.e., I could have the scanning (or later OCR-ing) happening in the background while I get other work done.

Hi, @BrianSiano2, as you might have noticed, or maybe this is part of your observation, if you have any OCR processing going on, you can't even read your email while Acrobat is hogging the computer.

This has been a long-standing complaint and request for many years. Maybe YOUR observation may break the process open, but so far, nothing. Why can other applications share the processor, but Acrobat continues to say "MINE!"
