Ok to be blunt, I hate being held prisoner by your product. I'm older and not about to start learning all this computer jargon nonsense. Frankly I don't care. I'm not in a business that I would need to create pdf files but everything I do puts me on the consumer end of them. You seem to have zero regard for the consumers that have to work with this. If I scan something into my computer, it scans to pdf. If I save something, it saves to pdf. That's all fine but if I need to insert a blank page or want to do *anything* with it, I have to sign up for a 7day trial and subscription. That is a load of crap. Please stop holding my school work and such hostage. It's not fair. You have a whole page about ethics and charities and inclusion that does not affect me one little bit. Please stop patting yourself on the back for being so high and mighty and come down here where the little people are and help us. It's not our fault that we HAVE to deal with your program. Thank you

As its name suggest, Acrobat PRO is a software for professional users.

There are similar, more consumer-oriented programs from other editors that will certainly suit you.

Yes and thank you for not pointing out the obvious and making me look
stupid.
Next time I'll skip the forum and hire a local teenager.

Have a lovely day.

When you want insert a blank page then use a software which can insert pages.

You don't have to use Adobe's software. They invented PDF, but they gave it away so others can make apps. Now of course here in Adobe's forum we can't recommend their rivals, but you could choose to spend money with a different company.

That is the whole point. As a consumer, my frustration comes from feeling
"forgotten" when trying to use the product. Everything in the help area or
tutorials seems to be targeted at developers, not at everyday consumers. I
just want to do very basic things. 99 % of the time I am reading pdf files,
but on a rare occasion, I would like to add an edit here or there without
having to pay for a subscription that I will use probably less than three
times a year.

It doesn't work like that, sadly. It's like saying you only want to watch 3 Netflix shows a year, so why should you pay for the entire subscription? If you want to make edits you need to pay for the tool that allows you to do them. Doesn't matter if it's one edit, or 1000. You need to make the decision whether those edits are worth paying a month's subscription. If not, then you can look for another application that might allow you to do them for free.

You can view PDF files for free using Adobe Reader, without limitations.
