The error message from Acrobat: Error: There was a problem reading this document (18)  likely means something in the file that Acrobat is having trouble understanding part of the PDF. Maybe the file is slightly corrupted, has compatibility issues (maybe it was made with different software), or has problems with its fonts. Sometimes it's just a temporary glitch in Acrobat itself.

It's important to note that if other PDF viewers can open the file, the problem is probably something specific to how Acrobat reads the PDF, not necessarily serious damage to the file itself. Don't forget, Adobe has strict and are likely more sensitive to minor inconsistencies in PDF structure compared to some other viewers.

Open the document with an another PDF reader and save as.

Then Acrobat should be able to open it.
