Hello Joshua!
I hope you are doing well, and thanks for reaching out to us.
Could you please provide more details about the issue? Are you receiving the same error message that says "Invalid ColorSpace error"? Is this problem occurring with all PDF files, or just one specific PDF? Are you using a Windows machine or a Mac, and what is your operating system version? Additionally, are you trying to open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat or in the free Acrobat Reader application?
Ensure you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat or Reader installed. From the Menu > Help > Check for Updates, check for any pending updates, install any available updates, and restart the machine.
Have you tried all the suggestions mentioned in this article: https://adobe.ly/4jm5em5
If yes, and you have Acrobat installed, use PDF Optimizer in Acrobat Pro: see this article for detailed steps: https://adobe.ly/3YCBtW7
Apply Preflight Fixups: In Acrobat Pro, go to All Tools > Print Production > Preflight. Use the Preflight tool to identify and fix color space problems. If possible, regenerate the PDF using an Adobe application, ensuring that standard color profiles are used.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Anand Sri.
I have an Adobe Acrobat Pro subscription and it only affected pdfs I created using another app on 4/22 and 4/23. It's an app that I use in my work and always print pdfs - and those were still accessible. I tried looking for the Adobe Optimizer but wasn't able to locate it.
That led me to delete the inaccesible pdfs and redo them using the same procedures, and still wasn't able to view them. I then deleted those and tried again. The process the other app gives me includes the option to "Export settings" and I usually check "PDF/A" when creating the pdf with the app. This time I chose to NOT export any settings, and it worked. Not sure why I had to eliminate that step of not choosing to export settings, but I didn't see any differences in the product, so I'm good.
