Files in Adobe cloud storage have disappeared

Adobe Acrobat team,

All the files and documents I had saved in Adobe cloud storage – amounting to hundreds of hours of work – have disappeared overnight.

Could you please provide an explanation?

What do you mean?

Some of the documents were also saved on the device. But annotations and ordering into folders were all done on the cloud storage – they are all gone.

I would like to understand:

1. Cause: Has Adobe Acrobat deleted them? If so, this is a very concerning practice. Have I done something wrong?
2. Solution: Can they be restored?

No. Except as documented, Adobe does not delete your files.
