Question

Fill and Sign tools in an interactive form

I want to set up a form for my PDF that has only 3 fillable fields.  I also want to be able to use the Fill and Sign tools to enter data.  However, when I have the form fields, I get the error message that says "The author of this document has identified fields that you can fill."  The only option from the Fill and Sign tools available is the signature option.

How is it possible to use the Fill and Sign tools, such as Add Text or place an X on a checkbox, with a document that has defined fields created with the Prepare Form tool?

Thanks

At Prepare Form add text fields and checkboxes.

Thank you for the reply.  Unfortunately, that will not work.  My setup is a 3 page document containing the 3 form fields that I want to keep constant on each 3 page unit (but having the option to change it in the future), additing it again and again to build a larger document.  The example is a client form that has a date on it that I need to be dynamic.  As I copy the 3 pages, the date field can remain the same each time I copy the 3 pages so in the future when I change the date, it changes for each client.  I want to have the ability to add the client info and check boxes with the Sign and Fill.  I can't simply input the data with the Form field otherwise it will change on each client form.

Is there a way to have some fields static when copying (like always referencing the same cell for a formula in Excel) and some fields that would increment the field when copied (like First Name, then First Name_1, First Name_2).

I can clarify further if this makes no sense...

"I can't simply input the data with the Form field otherwise it will change on each client form."

Use different documents for the clients.
