fillable boxes

hello all,

my question is: My business partner created a form i.e. invoice, proposal, etc. to use as a template.

when he emails me the form and I download it and save in my template file. then when i go to create an invoice the blue shaded boxes that are fillable are not there? but were there when i downloaded it ?
