Question

Fillable documents - can you add extra pages?

Hi everyone,

I've been tasked with getting a hard copy records book to be made electronic for completion online.

Some sections have multiple pages of the same form to allow enough lines for people to complete their records.

I'm wondering if Adobe Acrobat (or any other tool out there) has the ability to add fillable electronic form fields, but then add a page the same as what is already there and duplicate the page that way? Then I could just change the actual Records Book that the fillable forms are based on to just have one page of each form.

Hopefully that makes sense - and keen to hear if there are any solutions out there that can do this!?

Hi @sarahe33657092

Please check if Organize Pages tool in Acrobat DC Desktop version is able to resolve your requirement. Let me know if it works.

Thanks,

Make the page a template, then add a button that spawns the template.  It won't work in a web browser.  The users will most likely have to download the form and complete it locally using an Adobe PDF viewer.

Thank you so much for your response! I really appreciate this and am looking into this option further. A quick question though is that at first glance, it looks like the Add Page can only be added as the last page. Does this mean I can't have multiple forms within the record book where a page can be added? I have about 20 different forms within the 70 page record book that would need this "Add a Page" function. Do you know if that can happen before I look into it too much further? THANK YOU!

Any page can made into a template and any page can be spawned.  The template pages can be hidden or visible to start with.  The document must always contain at least one visible page of course.  When they are spawned they can take any page position in the document.  The nPage parameter of the spawn method is the page number after which the page will be spawn when it is not overlaid.  Here's another article that describes how to add and delete pages using check boxes on a cover page:
