Fillable Form Loses Data

Hi,

Using Acrobat DC, I created a long fillable form and followed the procedure to allow clients to enter their data.  I tested it (using Acrobat DC Reader) and made sure the data was still there after saving, exiting and going back into the form.  The first client I sent it to has lost all of the data they entered.  They can save the form, but when they go back in none of the fields have data in them.  I have the latest version of Acrobat DC and the client was using Acrobat DC Reader on a pc.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Are you 100% sure they're using Adobe Reader to view the file? Many people thing they do, when in fact they don't.

The most common cause for this issue is using a browser plugin instead of Reader. Ask them to full-window screenshots of the application they use to view the PDF file.

PS. Assuming your clients will use Reader DC you don't need to apply the Extended Reader Rights to your file for it to be savable by them.
