Fillable form on tablet issues

I have created a fillable form that has an autogenerated number field using JavaScript. Everything works fine on a pc but when I open in a tablet using Adobe Reader the autogenerated number function doesn't work. This number is important as the form is a purchase request form and the unique number is important for the procurement lifecycle process.

any ideas on getting this to work correctly?
