Fillable Forms Fields - Missing Information

Question

I created fillable forms in a document.The form is filled out and emailed to a recipient.All of the form fields look fine.Using Acrobat Reader, the recipient then combines that document with another PDF.The form in which the fillable forms looked fine, now do not populate the information in the form fields.Is this happening because the recipient is using Reader to combine the files? Does Acrobat Reader strip the information from those form fields? I'm getting what looks like computer code in the form fields.

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

Acrobat Reader is a freeware application used to read, fill and sign and annotate the PDF files, The option to combine the documents is available with Acrobat Pro paid applcation.

Please confirm with the recipient his steps to combine the files.

Looking at the screenshot above, it looks like a font issue as if it is not properly embedded into the final document, or the font is not available on your system or you may not have the required permission to use the font.

Please open the PDF in Acrobat Pro > click on the Menu icon in the top left corner > Save as other > Optimized PDF > Select Fonts > Check for any unembedded fonts and click on 'Retain' to embed the fonts and click OK and save the file with the new name on your system and see if that helps.
