Fillable PDF has specific font size, but is resizing text to fit.

I have a legal document that I need to file and I'm having trouble with the font auto-resizing. The document itself uses Times Roman 12 pt for the non-fillable sections. The fields on the fillable sections are all set to the same font and the same size.

However, if I start filling the fields they auto-resize and change the font face to fit the field length. I don't want them to do this. From what I see, these field properties are setup correctly, so why are they resizing and changing the font?

Here are the properties of the fields:

And here is what is happening to them when the text is too long

We can't see from the video what application is being used. This is a critical piece of information.

If you're using Apple Preview or some other non-Adobe application, all bets are off.

It shouldn't be shrinking the text if the properties screenshot is for that field.  However, the name of the highlighted field in the screenshot is called Email Address, but it is to the right of the word Telephone, not to the right of E-mail Address like in your second screenshot.  Are you setting the properties for the correct field?

That's just the way it looks when you go to finalize the form. Guess whoever created it doesn't know how to enter proper line breaks. I can assure you that email address was the selected field and the screenshot of the properties.

All the document fields have the exact same properties: Times Roman 12.
