Question

Filtered 'Completed' comments do not automatically disappear

Hi there

I have hundreds of comments on a map file. My workflow used to be:

  1. make the correction
  2. select Set Status > Completed* and the comment disappeared from the side panel.

This no longer happens automatically meaning that to remove the comment from view, I have to click on the filter, turn ‘Completed’ on, then select the filter again and turn ‘Completed’ off. I have to do this after every 5 or so comments to remove them from the map so I can see what I've done, so not ideal at all.

Architecture: arm64

Processor: Apple M4 Max

Build: 26.1.21563.0

AGM: 8.0.1

CoolType: 11.0.0

JP2K: 4.0.2.54782

*I actually want to just click on a checkbox and the comment disappears using the ‘unchecked’ filter but that no longer works either!! Another issue for another day, I suppose...

In fact, this file is even worse than others as the comment doesn’t even become highlighted in the side panel when selected on the page...

    Hi iand96374149,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry for the trouble caused.

As mentioned earlier, the comments do not disappear when you mark them as completed. Please try refreshing the page by switching to another tool or document and check if the comment still appears.

Also, make sure that the application is updated to the latest version. In Acrobat, you can do this by going to Help > Check for Updates. If the issue persists, please share a short video demonstrating the workflow along with the current version number of Acrobat you are using. We will investigate the workflow further.

Let us know if you need any help.

    Thanks,

    Meenakshi

    Hi Meenakshi

As far as I’m aware both OS and Acrobat are up-to-date.

    Acrobat: 26.1.21563.0
    OS: 15.7.4

I’ve added a video but it’s as simple as I describe above i.e.

    1. I have the filter on so that it should only show comments with the status ‘None’  i.e. Completed OFF
    2. I mark a comment ‘Completed’
    3. Comment doesn’t disappear…
    4. Refreshing the screen doesn’t work.
