"Find and replace" in the whole (!) document as well as the question of changing the font in the who

Hi, 

I use Acrobat Pro, last version, win7. I need find and replace a few symbol (double splace, hypen -> em dish, etc) for all document (not for block, not for page). How? Plug-in? Or maybe this programm can't do it. 

So, I need change fonts for all document too. Becouse I read english and translate to russian, but I have not many fonts and Acrobat Pro just set other font.

Translators face many challenges, and translating a PDF "in place" is a very big challenge. I recommend you get the original. If the original is really not available, and the backups were all destroyed in a strange accident, then I suggest you remake the files. There are a number of techniques depending on the complexity of the layout. Just exporting as Word might work for the simplest things. More complex files might have to be placed in InDesign and the text masked out, then placed again in newly sized boxes.

There is no Search & Replace All command in Acrobat. It has to be done one instance at a time.

These kind of changes should really be done before the file is converted to PDF.

Hi,

Technically what you want to do can be done, but it is not particularly easy,  it would probably be easier to output the contents to text, and then modify the output using you favourite text editor.

 

File->Export To-> Text
