Question

Flatten Bookmarks

I'm working with an automated printing application that uses a custom order procedure. The way the ordering is achieved is by first printing each file separately and then combining in the order specified. However, the bookmarking that results is nested under the name of each file as they were attached. This presents a problem when doing any hyperlinking because the process cannot find the naming. So, my question is:

Does Adobe Acrobat provide a function to effectively "flatten" all of the bookmarks into a single list?

Thanks.

You can do it using this (paid-for) tool I've developed some time ago: Custom-made Adobe Scripts: Acrobat -- Flatten Bookmarks

May be possible with Acrobat Javascript.
