Font and line color in a pdf is "randomly" being changed from black to white

Hi,

we are experiencing a strange issue where we can see the fontcolor on some letters are being changed from black to white when printing a PDF from Acrobat. Its not all letters - and its not neccesarily the same letters when printing the same PDF again - we have also seen lines in drawings "missing" - but we guess its the same here, that black somehow is converted to white so they are just not visible? Content of PDF is created in Illustrator;

We have tried to run the "preflight" tool - but no errors on document turn up?

 

We have installed latest Acrobat and we are printing PS from a Canon Imagerummer C5860i

 

Has anyone experienced something like this and maybe have a suggestion to the cause (and how til fix)?

    I have attached a picture of the issue - the text "Frederikskaj" should be all black - but only the first three letters are black - rest is white - on next pring all was white except the letter "i"?
