Question

Font Issue

Hi all,

Hoping you can help me.

I am editing a document using Oswald and OpenSans fonts.  These fonts are installed to my machine.  Five minutes ago I was using them both with no issue.

Then I wanted to create an alternate version of this original document (for comparative purposes) using the first document as a base.  So I "Saved As" the original file to a different file name and began editing this document.  However when I type in this new document, the fonts no longer align.  Meaning in the menu it says I am typing Oswald or OpenSans, but the new font clearly is not a match with the original Oswald or OpenSans words.  I also tried highlighting all of the text and choosing Oswald from the font menu, however this changes everything highlighted into yet a third visually different font.  Worse, now when I open the original document, I cannot edit it either as the font issue is now transferring over to every PDF document.  I have had this issue on another machine as well.

These documents are marketing materials that may have originally been created on a mac (I am using Windows), but were sent to me as original PDFs.  As stated, previous to this I had no issue editing directly preserving identical fonts.  How do I fix this and revert my machine back to leveraging the original, consistent fonts?

Thanks

Hi,

I'm having the same issue. Outsourced Marketing created the PDFs using Open Sans.

When I edit the PDF, I can't use Open Sans for consistency.

I was wondering did you get a work-around or any way to avoid recreating all our marketing material for simple edits
