Font Varriations Issues

Hello, new to using the support community. I designed a letterhead in Ai to be used in Acrobat. The file is built using a few different variations of the same font (using medium and standard specifically). However, when it is brought into Acrobat, it does not show or allow me to use those variations (forces me to edit text into the bold variation). I checked my font files, all are validated and working as I've had them for a while. I also closed and relaunched acrobat several times. Any ideas?
