Question

Fonts not displayed correctly on some computers

Our application generates billing notices as PDFs which are then emailed out to people.  We are seeing an issue where some computers are not displaying the fonts correctly.  Fonts are not embedded but the document only contains Arial, ArialBold, and CourierNew - each of which are confirmed to be installed on all devices viewing the PDF.  All test devices are using Adobe Reader 2024.004.20220, all options under Preferences>Page Display>Rendering are the same on each device.

Hi @mark_3688

Sorry for the troubled experience and delayed response.
Since I don't have access to the file, I can't say for sure if the fonts are embedded properly. I am also not sure how your clients are viewing the file. Are they using Acrobat or Reader to open those notices?

You may check with your vendor/developer who has created the system to generate such notices and ask them to contact our developer support team: https://adobe.ly/40vwrvS;

Let us know if you have any further questions.

The attached PDF does not display properly for some users, most notably when viewing it on some kind of Apple device.  I'm fairly sure it is how the library we are using creates the PDF and does(n't) embed the fonts.
