Question

form can still be submitted even when required field not ticked

I have created a form in INDD and then exported as Interactive PDF to Acrobat. I then edit all the fields here and adjust elements (Font and size) and check all required fields are correctly allocated. There is a tick box (read terms and conditions) at the very end that is set to required, but the form can still be submitted without this being "ticked" or selected. Is there a glitch? Should I be using a script in INDD to enforce this?

For some reason the submit command doesn't validate required check-boxes. Not sure if this is a "glitch" (AKA a bug) or on purpose, but it has always been like that. I think it's probably on purpose because if you have a group of separate check-boxes and want the user to tick one (or more) then the required validation can't handle it...

At any rate it can be done using a script, but I would recommend that if you do that that you don't create your fields (and scripts) in InDesign, but do it all in Acrobat.
