Form data edited in Acrobat

I had created an assessment form in InDesign then exported into Adobe Acrobat for our sales team to use.

Something that we've come across is that once the form is filled out and saved, they can't go back in and make a change. The team does not have the full version of Adobe, just Reader. I'm also trying to figure out if they are even using Acrobat or doing this in their browser, but it's hard to get a straight answer.

Has anyone else encountered anything like this, do you have a workaround?

Hi there

We are sorry for the trouble and the experience. As described once the PDF form is saved you are unable to edit the form.

Is this a behavior with a particular PDF form or with all the forms that you fill and save? Please try with a different PDF form and check. Also, please share the form with us for testing. Upload the file to the document cloud (https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/home/) generate the link and share it with us.

Do you get any error message when you try to go back and edit the form? If yes please share the screenshot of the error message for a better understanding.

Does your form include the signature field? If yes, once the form is filled and signed it gets locked for further editing. For more information please refer to the help article (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/acrobat/kb/edit-signed-PDF.html)

Let us know how it goes

Regards

Amal
