Form field text box formatting

Last time I created a form using Adobe Acrobat,  I could click on the properties of a text box and change the format to "date" with a required format of date e.g. "dd-mmm-yy". I need my date boxes to allow the user to only use a prescribed date format, but this option seems to have been removed entirely. Am I missing something?

If 'Format' tab is missing from the form field, make sure you don't have adobe sign form.

Select 'Prepare form' tool, click on 'More' and check if on top of the window that pops says 'Revert to acrobat form' if it does, click on it and now your fields should have 'Format' tab.

Also, in the future, do not tick the box that says "This document requires signatures" when creating the form, as that converts it into an Adobe Sign form, which has much more limited capabilities.
