Form Fields won't Fill

A recent issue I started having is I can no longer fill form fields in Acrobat or Reader. They are prepared to be filled and there is no document security. However each time I click a box to fill it, it gets dark and shows me an icon where the text fill is grayed out (see image). This problem only just started after working normally for months.

Hi All,

 

Thank you for your patience so far.

 

The issue has been resolved. Please reboot the machine and then relaunch Acrobat.

Then, wait for some time and try to fill out the forms again.

Rebooting has not solved the problem. And exactly how long is "some time"

I have found a little workaround for the moment. If you off-click the document and then hit the tab you can tab through your fields. Shift + tab goes backward.

dude, thank you so much for finding this out - i was starting to get so frustrated. Seems obvious but I don't think i would've ever thought about doing this.

right now the only fix is reverting to the old adobe version

I am having the same issue.  I was able to fill my forms with no problem until yesterday ( 04/18/24) now the forms  have the blue boxes but will not let me add in the information.  Vewry frustrating as I constantly work with forms on a daily basis.  Was there an update that caused this issue?  If so please fix it so we can fill or forms again!
