Freeze / "No Response" from Adobe Acrobat Reader 2020 Classic

Hello, we have big problems since latest August Update to Adobe Reader 2020 Classic:

- if you view documents or do something, we get "no response". Than you must wait a long time, until you can work again. You can reproduce the issue always.

Anybody know whats the reason?

We can't work with it.

Hi @max_0820 @scott_6059,

Sorry for the delayed response and troubled experience.

I am following up to check if your issue is resolved with the latest update available: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/release-note/release-notes-acrobat-reader.html

Reason/s why you couldn't upgrade to the Reader continuous track?

If the issue is still reproducible with the latest update patch, please help me with all the possible details:

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding

Hi Tariq,

we have still the same issue with latest patch: 005.30680

Continous Track - we use Classic, maybe you know why? Because of the updates, or why it gives this version?

Operating System: Windows 11 Enterprise

Number of affected users: All

Workflow that leads to the problem: Open Documents or working in it (new opened)

Licenses: No

Screenshot: Just grayed out Adobe Reader

Is this bug officiall confirmed by Adobe?

Hi @max_0820,

Thanks for sharing the details.

Would you mind sharing a screen recording from any users who see this, along with the logs from the system?

Please see that ProcMon is checked; which can complete the process when using Acrobat Diagnostic Tools.

This will help us analyze whether this is related to Acrobat specifically or if there are system processes that can conflict and cause Acrobat to crash.

Look forward to hearing from you.

You are not alone and we are having the same issue with every single one of my users on our network with their adobe products. It randomly freezes and locks up or sits there with the spinning wheel. Very anoying, I have seen other report on the forums. My assumption is adobe is a aware of the issue but our burying it until they can figure it out. Last thing they want to tell the world right now is they let some update go into the wild which broke their software.

Thanks for response @scott_6059

But now the question: What should we do as admin? What do you do? Downgrade? Or something new with new update?

Or we take another product....
