Generic signature form

Hi, I suspect I know the answer, but I have created a form that I will be making available online but I won't know in advance who will be signing it. Can I have a generic form that doesn't require a digital signature? (predefined) It is not a high-security thing and just needs folks to be able to complete and sign it without much trouble (not the most tech-savvy users). Should I just put a plain text field and call it a signature field with a check box that says something like by entering your name you are signing the document? I was hoping there was a way to ask for a signature without all the extra certification. Thanks!

Sure, you can do that. Or you could instruct them to use the Fill & Sign tool, which is easier to use than a digital signature.

Thank you so much for your response. I was hoping to do that but I can't figure out how to add any signature field other than the digital signature that, when I test it, still requires the process of defining a digital certificate by the user.  I'm using Acrobat Pro 2020 (V 2020.005.30467) if that is useful. Thank you again for your time.

You don't need to add anything. The Fill & Sign tool can be applied anywhere on the page.
