Glitch printing from CAD program to pdf.

I printed a file from Chief Architect (a CAD architectural program) to pdf, and the pdf file shows an anomaly. There are six square areas that look like they are about 50% transparent (the image behind them shows gray instead of black). I can select any of these areas, and I see options for - "ADD STICKY NOTE, HIGHLIGHT TEXT, COPY IMAGE, or EDIT TEXT & IMAGES". What are these, and how l do I get rid of them? The pdf is a 15 page document, and this only occurs on one page. I have used these programs and procedures before and the pdf "prints" have always come out fine.
