Question

Gradients and parts of image not showing on PDF. Fiery PostScript printing with no trouble. Replace document colors unchecked

Hello,

We normally use fiery for file management and a fiery bustle for printing most of our jobs, which are by and large pdfs. We use Windows acrobat 11 (11.0.23) pro for our large format printer and am noticing large dead spots where a gradient was when opening the file and when printed to our large format. When running thru fiery, the image prints without a problem. Any ideas? None of my color management changes seem to have any effect.

Try print as image (advanced button on the Acrobat printing dialogue) to test. If it works, the printer driver is "optimizing" the code generated by Acrobat.

Thanks for the reply.

I've tried that and get exactly what's on the screen. Funny enough, Preview for mac shows the image as it's supposed to be, but when trying to save as a pdf or print to pdf, it reverts back to the issue.
