Graphics print but not text

I have a credit card statement in .pdf form that doesn’t print properly. There are four pages. Page one has the information on amount due, due date, etc. Page two is legal fine print. Page three is the individual charges with some graphics. Page four is more fine print. When I print the statement on an HP inkjet pages 1,2 and 4 print just fine but page three only prints the graphics, no texso the individual charges don’t appear just some separator lines and graphics. Is this an adobe issue or something else?

Due to questioning some charges the card is being replaced. For some reason now when I am logged in to the credit card site I get error message saying I can’t download the statement. I wanted to do that to check something. All pages printed correctly through the November one last year. All of the statements I tried since then would only print the graphics on the page that has all of the transactions. They are emailing a years worth of statements. If they come in .pdf form I’ll see if I still have the problem. Will get back to you.

    Thanks

You may want to try this:

Open your PDF with your web browser. Most all web browsers have tools to open PDFs, so if you have multiple web browsers, you might want to give the file multiple attempts to work with your various web browser(s).

If they print from your web browser(s) just fine, we probably are talking about an Acrobat issue. If they don’t print from any of your web browser(s) either, we’re probably looking at file problems.

Please try to print your errant PDF from your web browser(s) and let us know how that works out for you.

This is very likely an issue caused by the PDF generator that your bank uses. Complain to them that you cannot print the file.

Having said that, let’s spend a few minutes on gathering some information: How are you printing this file? Is it open in your browser, or in Adobe Acrobat or the free Adobe Reader? Windows or Mac? If it is in Acrobat or Reader, then open the document properties dialog (Ctrl-D or Cmd-D on a Mac). What does it say for “Application” and “PDF Producer”? If you don’t see “Adobe” in the producer section, then the file was created with non-Adobe software and is very likely bad PDF. If you don’t find any information in these fields, then it’s even more likely that it’s bad PDF from somebody who does not want to be identified.
