Have documents always open in Fit to Width Scrolling

How do I have my documents always open in Fit to Width Scrolling mode? They used to open this way but now they don't and it's very frustrating.

Hope you are doing well.

As per the issue description that you want to open PDFs in fit to width view. Here are the steps you can follow:

1. Edit> Preferences> Page Display> under "Zoom" dropdown select "Fit width"

(for mac: you can find preferences under. Acrobat DC> Preferences)

This does not work in Acrobat Pro (current version, 2024.002.20857). I always want ALL PDFs to open in fit width and smooth scroll. Always.

I had the prior version set to do this but the latest update blew away my preferences. I have the prefs set as above but all files open in "fit window" with jump scroll which I have always hated.
