Having trouble changing font sizes

Hi! So as the title suggests, I am having trouble changing the font sizes in a form I am trying to fill out. I tried filling out the form normally and it cuts my text off so you can't see whatever doesn't technically fit in the box,. I've tried using the "Prepare a Form" tool and I can set the font size to "Auto" but it doesn't actually change the size of the font in the field I am trying to fill out. Also, when I try to click out of the field to edit a different field, the text diappears. Any ideas or help is so very welcome!
