I recently purchased Adobe DC. Unfortunately when I attempt to convert a PDF to Word the end result is a garbled doc. I would appreciate some assistance please.

Jim,

I just downloaded and converted your PDF to Word and I have to say that the problem is on your computer. The Word document that I got out of your PDF looks so good, Adobe could use that as an example of how good Acrobat can do in this conversion. I mean, really, it's dead-on fantastic.

I'm using the latest Acrobat on a 5k iMac (2015) running 11.6.1.

You know, that you can test Acrobat with a trial period? You could have tested this before. The conversion from one file format into another has its pitfalls. Depending on the qualily of the source file the final result might be okay or not.

Thank you. In this case the page content clarity is excellent. I open the PDF in Adobe and then hit the Export PDF tav and than when prompted I save the file in Word but it opens in Word as a garbled doc bu from looking at other comments it appears I am missing a step.

Hi Jim,

It's not the clarity, it's the structure of the document.

One thing I would try is to change the font of the document. It's possible that there is something wanky with the font that you used. If this solves the problem, please let us know. If not, can you please supply a screenshot so we have more information to work with.
