Question

Heading styles in word get blurry/pixelated in pdf

Whenever I, or anyone at my company, creates a PDF from word, all our heading styles go blurry/pixelated. It doesn't matter which way we export it, eg. save as pdf, save as adobe PDF, or create pdf from the ribbon. Normal text is fine, but heading styles are not. Please help! This looks unprofessional.

This looks to me like the header is not text, but an image.

Could you please share a (dummy) DOCX file with us, together with the created PDF file?

Documents attached, these were also created from my desktop, not the shared drive.

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer locally and then try again.

What is the version of the OS and the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 24.02.20687 installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://adobe.ly/4d9CmuV

It happens with the majority of our documents, even smaller 10 page documents.

OS is Windows 11 Pro, Version 23H2

Acrobat Pro, Version 2024.00220687

We already tried repair and re-installing. Will try a reset of the preferences.
