Question

Heavy outlines appearing around images when printing PDF

I am not sure where this issue is coming from. I have an InDesign file with linked images in it that I'm exporting as a PDF. The PDF appears correct in Acrobat, but when I print it, dark outlines appear around many (but not all) of the images. Is this a printer setting or an Adobe setting? Anyone know how to fix this issue? I've tried messing with the images in Photoshop to see if that has an effect but it doesn't change. It seem to only effect more complex images like photographs with detail or screen shots. See examples below of how it appears on screen vs. when printed. Thanks for any help.

Yes, just configure the two software identically

It looks like a color management issue.

Are your Acrobat and InDesign synchronize?

Is there a way to do that without Bridge? Apparently my work computer is not compatible with Bridge.

*Note: I just tried printing it with "Print As Image" turned on and that seemed to resolve the issue. Is there a way to solve it without needing to turn that on?
