HELP Exporting PDF documents into Word

I have downloaded and paid for the Acrobat Reader DC in order to export PDF documents into word.  When I try to convert the scanned PDF file into word i keep getting the message that conversion has failed and that something went wrong while uploading the file. I have checked with my IT provider and they have said it is a problem with Adobe.  I need to speak to somebody please as I work for a small Town Council and it is disrupting the day to day working of the Council

You did not pay for the free Adobe Reader - or, if you did, somebody scammed you. The Adobe Reader is free (unlike Adobe Acrobat).

What you very likely paid for is a subscription to the ExportPDF online service, which allows you to export PDF files to Word or Excel format.

The best way to use this service is to upload your document directly to the service and not use the interface that it built into the free Adobe Reader. You can do that by going to https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf - after you log in with your Adobe ID, you can upload your PDF file. The online service will then convert the file and make it available for download.
