Question

Help on changes from pdf to printer

The conversion from a Word document to a PDF seems successful until I print it. I'm seeking advice on how I can fix this problem. I've not noticed it before on my conversions but my resume is important and I need to work this out. Here are photos of how it looks in my computer and how it looks after printing. I've researched and read the other conversation threads and I'm beginning to think it's a pdf to printer problem.

Hi @LeeAnn K

Hope you are doing well and sorry to hear that

Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer locally and then try again.

What is the version of the Acrobat DC you are using? To check the version go to Help > About Acrobat and make sure you have the recent version 23.01.2017X installed. Go to Help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.

Also try to repair the installation from the help menu (Win Only) and see if that works.

Please check for any missing/pending updates for the printer driver and firmware and try updating it. You may also try to remove the printer driver, reboot the computer and reinstall it from the manufacturer's website and see if that works.

Also, please go through the help page https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/troubleshoot-pdf-printing-acrobat-reader.html and check.

For testing purpose, please open the document in a web browser and try printing it from there and check.

Regards

Amal

Thank you Amal. I'm beginning to think it's the particular pdf and the non-transferrable problem from Word to PDF as I don't have trouble on other ones. I was hoping you guys could help me learn more on this. I appreciate your help and will save this information for future issues. LeeAnn

What fault are we looking for? The creator of a file is always able to see the faults much more easily than anything else.

Also, what do you mean by "after printing"? Neither one looks like a photo of a printed page of paper?
