Help...savings as PDPPlus.Document and not PDF files (*.PDF)

All of a sudden, I am having issues with downloading PDF files on to my computer I didn't have before.  I work in Adobe Acrobate Pro 90% of the day, everyday.  When using the download symbol arrow, I see my document being saved as automatically in file type as "PDPPlus.Document" and not "PDF files (*.PDF)".   See the attached redacted docment.  I'm not sure how to file it.  Any assistance is greatly appreciated.  Thank you, Denise

Hi there

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

It sounds like your files are being saved with the wrong file type ("PDPPlus.Document" instead of ".PDF"), which can be the result of changes in file associations. PDFPlus is a non-Adobe application/Services.

Please try to re-associate PDF files with Adobe Acrobat Pro:

On Windows, go to: Settings > Apps > Default Apps > Choose default apps by file type

Alternatively, right click on any PDF file on your desktop > click on 'Open With' > Click 'Choose another app' > Select Acrobat Pro.

For more info, please check the help page https://adobe.ly/3Y40uJw

Let us know how it goes.

Thank you for response.  Before I sent this post, I went into the Windows, go to: Settings > Apps > Default Apps > Choose default apps by file type and I selected the Adobde Acrobat DC w the extension of .pdf.  Still now, I am not able to download the court pleading from the online docket to my computer because it still states in the "save as type"  as PDPPlus.document and not PDF files (*.PDF).  I checked my property dialog box and it show already shows Adobe Acrobat DC.

Does this happen with other sites that have downloadable PDFs?
