Help With Adobe Reader, Wont open !

I have some docs in Adobe Reader filed in  Win 10 File Manager under Documents. I need to open up a doc to do some editing and when I click on the doc tittle nothing happens . Also, When I click in Adobe icon on the desktop I get a spinning circle for a few seconds and then nothing happens.

 I have tried to repair thje program with no success and then deleted and reinstalled , still with no succes.

 Can anyone help me get this program going so I can finish my assignment ,  Please!
