Help with Editing

I am trying to make a comic strip using text messaging, but for some reason I can't edit the messages to create a dialogue that will be funny to the reader.  My friends are fine with this and are willing to participate.   I was hoping someone can show me or do I need to aquire photoshop?

Actually I think Illustrator would be easier as the vector dynamics make it easier to replicate, resize (as needed), and create styles for the various pieces.

If you do not have the products I'd recommend getting a trial subscription and when you have a block of time (trial is only 7 days), see which one is easier for you to work with.

I think you'd need Photoshop. Acrobat could never recognise and edit such text. In Photoshop, you would be best off making this entirely new, rather than trying to edit it (which would mean covering up some text, matching colours, and adding new).

Ot just send new funny texts to yourself and capture them.
