Hi,

Looking for some help with hyperlinks in PDF file. I have managed to set up the hyperlinks in the PDF document I am working off in Adobe, and they work fine when I try them whilst the document is loaded up in ADobe. But when I email the PDF to myself and try the hyperlinks then, it doesn't work.

Can anyone suggest some help?

Thanks,

If you open the file anywhere but Adobe Acrobat or Reader the issue is most likely with that viewer you're using (a browser plugin, Apple Preview, a mobile app, etc.). You need to report this issue to the developers of that app.

@Sarah28814428c6z6  Hi Sarah,

There are several ways to create hyperlinks in Adobe Acrobat, and there are several different programs that can view and use the hyperlinks.

So we need some details from you in order to diagnose what is causing the problem.

  • What version and build is your version of Adobe Acrobat?
    — Acrobat Reader, Acrobat Standard, or Acrobat Pro?
    — What is the build number? See Help/About Adobe Acrobat and find something like 2023:001.20064
    — Mac or Windows?
  • What steps did you take to make the hyperlinks?
  • When you view the PDF in your email, how are you opening the PDF?
    — Are you double-clicking it?
    — Are you right-clicking it and selecting Acrobat as the program to open it?
    — Are you saving it to your computer and then opening it?
    — Something else?
