Hide Edit column on left side of adobe acrobat 2024

Okay, I am really stuck and I have searched several places and could not figure out a way to do any of these. It appears Adobe has taken away all the options and you are now stuck with this pathetic layout in Adobe 2024 the New version.

Please Please help me find a solution for any of these as I really hate the new 2024 version and if someone has figured out how to rollback to the Classic Layout where you had lots of options

  1. You can’t go back to the previous Classic layout. That is not listed in the Menu and you are stuck with this new Layout
  2. You cannot  adjust, hide, resize or move the Edit column in Edit Mode and it takes up ¼ of my laptop screen & leaves no room for the document I am editing
  1. It cannot be changed to a top menu so that you actually have room to edit a document.
  2. Also that useless floating toolbar can only be moved side to side and sits right on top of my document
  3. I have even tried the registry settings and none of them worked

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi @curious_neighbor6bc1,

I understand that you want to return to the classic Acrobat interface, but the Disable new Acrobat option is not available in the menu.

On Windows, the documented path is Menu > Disable new Acrobat, followed by Restart. If that option is not shown, please share the complete Acrobat version and build listed under Menu > Help > About Adobe Acrobat. You can also check for available updates under Menu > Help > Check for updates.

    Thanks,

Thank you for the responses. The first issue is that I cannot go back to the old classic layout because that option is totally missing in my new Adobe platform or the Adobe 24 so I don’t know why those jerks said Adobe have taken that down also yes I can adjust the monitor the resolution however it’s like a like a rock between the hard place cause my eyesight is OK but not all that great so if I go to a very low resolution, then you know the text becomes unreadable for me and or it gets cut off if I use just a 3/4 panel

What resolution is your monitor? The edit screen shouldn’t take up that much room.

Also, I can move the toolbar anywhere.

Could it be you have a bad install?

Go to the View pull down menu and select Disable new Acrobat. I think you’ll be happy with the result.
