My adobe only lets me highlight text, how can I highlight a drawing or multiple lines.  When I pick highlight the olny option is text or undreline

    Assuming you are working with the new release, to do what you want, select the drawing tool:

    Note that there are a number of drawing options to select from besides freehand drawing.

    When using the drawing tool(s), note the colored dot on the floating toolbar. If you mouse-down on that, you can select different colors. To my knowledge, you cannot create your own colors. Also, note you can vary the opacity.

    Lastly, below the colors, you'll see lines.

     Once selected, you can vary the thickness of your lines.
